What applies

• Identify the company responsible for the packaging under the Belgian/PPWR transition rules, then create the account with the applicable accredited organisation or use the individual declaration route confirmed by EPRiBEL.
• Registration route: self service plus pro or epr scheme

What to prepare

• Legal company name and registered address
• Company/trade registration number
• VAT or tax number
• Contact person, email and telephone
• Brands/trading names
• Packaging types, component materials and weights
• Country-level annual quantities by required reporting category

How to submit

1. 1Separate household from industrial/commercial packaging.
2. 2Confirm the post-12-August-2026 producer result using the EPRiBEL guidance.
3. 3Join Fost Plus, Valipac, or use an accepted individual route as applicable.
4. 4Submit the annual packaging declaration by material and retain the acceptance and invoices.
5. 5Keep the organisation contract, declaration and any prevention-plan evidence.

What to keep

• EPRiBEL/approved-organisation membership or declaration evidence and the annual packaging declaration acceptance.
• Submitted quantity declarations and acceptance receipts
• PRO/EPR scheme contract and invoices where applicable
• Representative mandate and confirmation where applicable
• This country action guide and supporting source documents

Ongoing obligations

• Submit the annual packaging declaration with quantities by material and household versus industrial/commercial stream through the applicable approved organisation or individual route.
• Update the registration when company, representative, brand, packaging stream or contact information changes.
• Reconcile national reports to sales and packaging bills of materials; retain the submitted values and official result.
