What applies

• Register no later than 14 days before placing packaging on the market. Danish companies use MitID Erhverv; non-Danish companies use the foreign-company route. Membership in a collective scheme is mandatory.
• Registration route: self service plus pro or epr scheme

What to prepare

• Legal company name and registered address
• Company/trade registration number
• VAT or tax number
• Contact person, email and telephone
• Brands/trading names
• Packaging types, component materials and weights
• Country-level annual quantities by required reporting category

How to submit

1. 1Create the DPA registration and choose Packaging.
2. 2Add contact details, brands, packaging categories, expected current-year quantities, end user and waste type.
3. 3Connect an approved collective scheme.
4. 4For an EU company without a Danish establishment selling to end users, request and obtain acceptance from a Danish authorised representative.
5. 5Pay the registration fee and download the registration certificate after final approval.

What to keep

• Paid DPA registration certificate plus confirmed collective-scheme connection.
• Submitted quantity declarations and acceptance receipts
• PRO/EPR scheme contract and invoices where applicable
• Representative mandate and confirmation where applicable

Ongoing obligations

• Report annual kilograms by packaging material, end-user/waste type and applicable categories. Collective schemes normally report on behalf of members.
• Update the registration when company, representative, brand, packaging stream or contact information changes.
• Reconcile national reports to sales and packaging bills of materials; retain the submitted values and official result.
