What applies

• Create the economic-operator profile in GPAIS and file the GII registration request at least 10 working days before placing filled or empty packaging on the Lithuanian market.
• Registration route: self service plus pro or epr scheme

What to prepare

• Legal company name and registered address
• Company/trade registration number
• VAT or tax number
• Contact person, email and telephone
• Brands/trading names
• Packaging types, component materials and weights
• Country-level annual quantities by required reporting category

How to submit

1. 1Create or access the company profile in GPAIS.
2. 2Submit the GII producer/importer registration request at least 10 working days before market placement.
3. 3Choose individual fulfilment or contract a licensed organisation while retaining direct registration/accounting responsibility.
4. 4Create packaging nomenclature and maintain placed-on-market accounting by material, level and use.
5. 5Submit reports and retain GPAIS acceptance, agreements and tax/recovery evidence.

What to keep

• GPAIS registration confirmation in the producer/importer register, organisation agreement where used, and accepted packaging accounting reports.
• Submitted quantity declarations and acceptance receipts
• PRO/EPR scheme contract and invoices where applicable
• Representative mandate and confirmation where applicable
• This country action guide and supporting source documents

Ongoing obligations

• Maintain packaging accounting in GPAIS and submit the required summaries/reports; the registration and accounting obligations remain even where a small-quantity tax relief applies.
• Update the registration when company, representative, brand, packaging stream or contact information changes.
• Reconcile national reports to sales and packaging bills of materials; retain the submitted values and official result.
